Why trust the picks

What we check — and what we never claim

Where two sources differ on a spec, we show the product page figure.

Listing-accurate specs

Capacity, wattage and menus come from each product page.

Same size, three tiers

We compare 5.5-cup models so the only variable is the heating approach.

No taste claims

We have not cooked in these machines, so there is no "best rice" verdict — only what the pages state.

FAQ

Straight answers

Short, honest, and in plain English.

Is induction heating worth it?

Zojirushi says induction heating heats the inner pan directly for precise temperature control. Whether that is worth the extra power draw and cost depends on how much you care about rice texture; we have not taste-tested it.

What does micom mean?

Microcomputer control — the cooker adjusts temperature and time automatically instead of just switching off.

Do all these fit a 15 A circuit?

The 5.5-cup induction models draw about 1.2 kW, so avoid running a kettle on the same circuit at the same time.

Why no prices?

They change daily; the cart shows the current price.
